Folks, don’t forget two fun and festive events coming up both this Saturday, Dec. 3, and next Saturday, Dec 10!
This Saturday the 3rd is the last Park Cleanup Day of the 2011 calendar year, and we’d love to have you come join us for some Park-beautification! Meet at 9 a.m. (or anytime you can arrive) in front of Mary K. and Jim Jarboe’s house (452 W Parkwood Rd.), where they will be manning the sign-in table. Please sign in with them when you arrive. Please bring with you (if you have them) wheelbarrows, rakes, and shovels — we can’t have enough of those, and you can share extras with others — just be sure to write your name on your tools.
At about 10:45 or 11 a.m., we’ll have a scheduled break when you can relax, have some homemade cookies, some water, and be a part of our group photo shoot for the day.
Next Saturday the 10th is the 2011 Holiday Party at the home of Averill and Mark Jones at 206 Upland Road! Adults are invited to celebrate from 6-8 p.m. Turkey and ham, and beer and wine will be provided. Please bring an appetizer or covered dish to share and a few bucks to supplement the “lush” fund!
And for the kids, there’s a separate party just for them — Join in for cookie decorating the same afternoon (December 10) from 3-4 p.m. at Adrianne and Scott McVeigh’s house (221 Upland Rd.)
