Activities in the Park

Upcoming Activities in the Park
October 13, 2012 (9:00 to12:00) Chain Saws / Lumberjacks
There’s nothing like working in the woods on a cool Fall morning!  Come join us as we prepare for the neighborhood ParkwoodPark workday by cutting and moving larger branches and tree sections to line the trails.  We need a few chain saws and a lot of muscle for this special workday.   Contact Steve Elmore if you’d like to join us.
October 20, 2012 (9:00 to12:00) Parkwood Park Workday
We’ve got the mulch, we need the volunteers!  Join your neighbors as we remove trash from the Park and mulch the trails.  Something for everyone.  Bring gloves and racks.  We’ll have water, cookies, and trash bags.  Meet at 452 West Parkwood (Jim and Mary K Jarboe’s house).
January 5, 2013 (9:00 to 12:00) Invasive Plant Removal
Getting ready for Spring!  It’s winter and about the only thing that’s green in the Park are the invasive plants (English Ivy, Cherry Laurel, Elaeagnus, Chinese Privet).  Come help us free some of the native plants from the invasive menace.  Contact Sheri Kennedy if you’d like to join us.
